Abstract :
Double-layer barrel vaults can be used to cover large openings such as assembly centers, sports stadiums and showrooms. The resulting network provides resistance to incoming loads. Extensive research has been done on the static behavior of curved space structures, but the optimal and economical formulation of double layer barrel vaults has not received much attention. In this paper shown types of forms design The double layer barrel vaults with different spane-to-height ratios. After the introduction of the double layer vaults, the Formian program was used to create the double layer vaults geometries and the SAP2000 software was used to analyze the structures. Recommendations given to designers in this area permit evaluation Exact capacity of double layer vaults structures and selection of appropriate forms of technical and economic considerations makes it possible.
