Abstract :
The slingshot is a similar invention to bungee jumping, which is a sport of jumping from a tall structure while connected to a big rubber band. unlike bungee jumping which has three possible problems: the jumper could hit the ground, swing into a support tower, or get tangled in the cord, it s here to reduce the risks and fears of bungee jumping while keeping most of the thrilling sensations. on this article the safety factor and slenderness ratio of slingshot would be analyzed with Finite Element Method (FEM). The 3D FE model is developed using the ANSYS commercial FE code. Results showed that slingshot structure that modeled has appropriate safety factor.
