Abstract :
Today, the issue of reducing energy consumption and using renewable energy, as well as designing and implementing buildings that cause the least damage to the environment and play a role in reducing the world s carbon footprint, is one of the most important environmental issues. Therefore, architects and designers decided to generate standards that can effectively reduce energy consumption and achieve sustainable architecture. Those countries at the forefront in this work have quickly considered designing a measurement system for this issue. Today, many evaluation methods and ratings measure building sustainability in all parts of the world, of which the LEED system is the most complete. In this article, LEED standards and building energy sustainability were discussed worldwide, and it was concluded that LEED design documents are different in each country due to different climates. Countries around the world to benefit from this technology and the LEED standards must take into account their climate and geographical location with a view to a homogeneous sample based on their climates to assess LEED.
