Abstract :
The history of Bazar formation in Iran dates to the millennia BC. In some cities of the Sassanid and Parthian periods, the Bazaar is considered an important urban element. The Bazaar also plays a vital role in urban construction that it formed the core of a neighbourhood after the mosque. So in big cities, each neighbourhood had one or more Bazar that met the needs of the people. The history of the Bazar in Kerman dates to more than 600 years ago (late Mozaffari and Timurid periods) So the Bazar find their original structure to form and expand the city. Kerman collections from the Safavid period onwards were all created in connection with the Bazar and in fact, the Bazar is an important part of all these collections. Due to the neglect of the role of the Bazar and, abandoning it as an urban space has suffered a lot. One of these cases is Vakil Bazaar in Kerman, which after a difficult and desolate period has tried to live in it again with the revival of the caravanserai. as one of the main elements of the Iranian city and the lack of sufficient attention to this element, in this research, we use a descriptive-analytical method to study the knowledge, concepts, and elements of the Bazar, then the role of Kerman Vakil Bazar in the city has been studied. In this research in addition to conducting library studies on the subject of cognition, field studies have also been carried out in order to get closer to the subject.
