Abstract :
Abstract: There is a general consensus among scientists that rapid urbanization has some negative effects on urban climate and having a serious effect on urban growth form. Moreover, it could be reasonably argued that a key factor in urban form is the relation between urban morphology and local climate, which consequently affect the health of habitants living in the cities. Therefore, in this issue, to reach a reasonable urban sustainable design, it would be better to concentrate on the relation between these important factors such as urban morphology, urban form and local climate. However, the link between them and urban planning and design strategies is still weak. Nevertheless, there is no significant guidelines to mitigate the negative effects of urban planning and design. Accordingly, the aim of this paper is to determine the relation between urban morphology and local climate towards the urban form to have an appropriate urban design. To support this idea a case study including of three cities is represented and discussed. As a result, this study shows a reliable evidence that provides comfort and convenience for habitants in residential area, if followed appropriately.
