Abstract :
Accurate measurement of liquid levels is one of the key parameters in industrial process control. In this study, the performance of two commonly used level sensors, Torque Tube and LVDT, is compared using numerical simulation and statistical analysis. Input signals with various amplitudes and frequencies were modeled to represent level variations. The output of each sensor was generated with added noise and dynamic modeling, and then level estimation errors were analyzed. The results showed that the LVDT sensor, due to its better dynamic response and higher noise immunity, provides higher accuracy and stability compared to the Torque Tube. This research can help in the optimal selection of level measurement devices in various industries.
