Abstract :
This study investigates the performance of a coaxial cylindrical capacitive level transmitter through numerical simulation in MATLAB and analyze the effects of liquid height, dielectric constant, electrode spacing, and temperature on the sensor’s output capacitance. Simulation results indicate that the capacitance exhibits an approximately linear relationship with liquid height, while variations in dielectric constant and temperature can introduce significant measurement errors. These findings provide valuable guidance for optimizing design and implementing thermal compensation in industrial capacitive level transmitters.
