Abstract
As one of the most complex and strategic global industries, the oil and gas industry faces numerous legal, contractual, and regulatory challenges. In this regard, legal and contractual managers act as key players in managing risks, ensuring legal compliance, designing optimal contractual structures, and protecting the interests of the organization. This article, using a descriptive-analytical method and reviewing library and documentary sources, examines the position, roles, and impact of legal and contractual managers in achieving organizational goals in the oil and gas sector. The findings show that these managers not only do not have a supporting or reactive role, but are at the forefront of strategic decision-making and directly contribute to achieving operational, financial, and energy security goals by managing complex international contracts, resolving disputes, managing regulatory risks, and facilitating transactions. This article, by providing a comprehensive analysis, emphasizes the need to further integrate legal expertise into the senior management and strategic planning processes of this industry.
