Abstract :
With the increase in energy consumption in the building sector and the need to pay attention to the principles of sustainable development, the use of passive solutions such as the use of natural daylight has been considered as one of the most effective methods for reducing energy consumption. Coworking spaces, as a new model of work environments, require optimal design in the field of lighting and energy consumption due to their spatial flexibility and the simultaneous presence of multiple users. This research aims to analyze the effect of natural daylight on optimizing energy consumption in these spaces and examines its role in reducing dependence on artificial light and improving the visual comfort of space users. The research method is descriptive and analytical, and data were collected through library studies, case study analysis, and simulation and evaluation of lighting conditions. The results show. That the appropriate design of openings, the correct orientation of the building, the use of reflective surfaces and the control of direct sunlight can significantly reduce electrical energy consumption and improve the quality of the indoor environment. Ultimately, providing design solutions based on the intelligent use of natural daylight, in addition to optimizing energy consumption, will lead to increased productivity and satisfaction of space users in coworking spaces.
