Abstract :
Given the novelty of the climate change debate, there is a serious need for studies in the field of climate change and urban design in urban spaces. The climate in a region may change over thousands or millions of years. Changes in the Earth s atmosphere (possibility of changes in the distance of the sun from the Earth, volcanoes, etc.) can cause changes in the Earth s climate. The effects of climate change in urban spaces have become apparent in recent years. Therefore, examining this topic is important because in the design of urban spaces, using and knowing this phenomenon can reduce the effects of climate change in the future. Concerns such as heat waves, droughts, and more widespread, severe, and frequent floods in the urban environment led to the formation of organizations, associations, non-governmental organizations, and also numerous conferences on a global or regional scale, the main purpose of which was to study the urban climate and create sustainability and resilience of cities. The holding of annual conferences, including the International Conference on Urban Climate and the publication of specialized journals such as Urban Climatology, have demonstrated the high importance of this issue among researchers and policymakers, such that attention to the phenomenon of climate change and planning to reduce vulnerability and increase urban resilience in the face of this phenomenon have been placed on the agenda of city administrators and policymakers in many countries around the world.
