Abstract :
Today, increasing energy consumption in buildings and decreasing the quality of space users experience in indoor spaces have revealed the importance of purposeful use of natural daylight and evidence-based design approaches. In many interior design projects, scenario evaluation is carried out without considering the actual behavior of users, presence patterns, and how they interact with the space. This issue leads to a gap between design predictions and the actual performance of the environment. This research aims to reduce this gap by evaluating interior design scenarios based on natural daylight using human-centered digital models. In this regard, a set of design scenarios has been analyzed by considering variables such as lighting, spatial organization, and simulated architectural features, and the behavior of space users, including movement patterns, viewing angles, and presence in space. This approach allows for a more detailed study of the interaction between light, space, and humans and evaluates its impact on indicators such as visual comfort, user focus, and energy efficiency. The research results show that the use of human-centered digital models can significantly increase the accuracy of predicting space performance, help optimize energy consumption, and improve the quality of space user experience. This method also provides an efficient platform for informed decision-making in the early stages of design. It allows interior designers to create more sustainable, user-centered, and more consistent spaces with the real needs of space users. Overall, this research provides a new framework for integrating human behavior analysis with light-centered design, which can be used as an effective tool in the development of sustainable interior design
