Abstract :
Abstract Architecture, as a physical entity intertwined with its context, is perpetually perceived and experienced through light and the quality of its surrounding atmosphere. In recent decades, the global crisis of air pollution and the concentration of suspended particulate matter have acted as an imposed and destructive visual filter, severely distorting the legibility of form, geometric proportions, and material textures of buildings. This research, aiming to explore the profound connection between architectural photography, light-control equipment, and environmental graphic design, seeks a visual language to transform this invisible crisis into a tangible, physical warning. Relying on a descriptive-analytical method and a phenomenological approach, this study demonstrates how an architect-photographer can evolve from a mere documentarian of aesthetics into an active environmental advocate. In this regard, the identity landmarks of Tabriz, such as the historical El-Goli Pavilion, Maghbarat-o-Shoara, Arg-e Alishah, and the Clock Tower, are analyzed in juxtaposition with the modern Allianz Arena stadium in Munich. The results indicate that an understanding of the physics of light, precise calculation of hyperfocal distance, utilization of advanced night photography techniques with industrial tripods, and the targeted application of Neutral Density (ND) and Circular Polarizer (CPL) filters—combined with critical typography and graphic processing—can recreate the visual decay of architecture into conceptual posters, thereby awakening public awareness.
