Abstract :
    In recent years, software based on machine learning, genetic algorithms and parametric design have been able to play an important role in facilitating and accelerating conceptual design. This article aims to examine the applications of artificial intelligence in architecture, introducing its capabilities in form analysis, energy optimization, climate behavior simulation and the production of innovative designs. Also, challenges such as the reduction of the role of human creativity, weakness in spatial understanding and the lack of appropriate infrastructure for the widespread use of AI are also examined. In the following, examples of contemporary projects that have used artificial intelligence in their design are introduced and their impact on the design and decision-making process is analyzed. The results of this study show that artificial intelligence, alongside the architect, can play a role as a powerful assistant in creative and sustainable design; but its conscious and purposeful use is essential to preserve the human identity of architectural spaces.
