Abstract :
This article examines the impact of climate change on social behavior and crime and analyzes the relationship between these changes and environmental crimes and criminal policies. The main objective of the research is to examine the impact of climate change, including increased temperature and drought, on population displacement, increased social tensions, and ultimately the growth of crime rates. Also, this study examines the role of criminal policies in reducing environmental crimes and promoting social security. The research method of this research is descriptive-analytical and was conducted using library resources and international documents. The findings show that climate change has a direct impact on the increase in crime and the proper management of these changes can be effective in reducing crimes. Accordingly, the research results emphasize the need for strict punishment of anti-environmental crimes and the implementation of preventive measures to reduce these types of crimes. This article suggests that criminal policies should be formulated with a more comprehensive approach so that in addition to maintaining social security, environmental health is also guaranteed.
