Abstract :
This study conducts a comparative analysis of the role of final examinations in enhancing educational quality, with a focus on leading assessment systems and successful international models. Final examinations serve as a pivotal tool for evaluating the performance of educational systems, not only measuring student learning outcomes but also providing valuable data for improving curricula, teaching methodologies, and educational policies. The aim of this research is to analyze how the results of final examinations are utilized in various educational systems and to identify key factors influencing educational quality.
Employing a systematic review and qualitative content analysis approach, relevant international studies (2015-2023) from reputable databases such as OECD and UNESCO were extracted and analyzed. The findings indicate that successful educational systems—including those in Finland, Singapore, and Canada—leverage examination results to provide constructive feedback, design targeted interventions, and optimize curricular content. By integrating formative and summative assessment, utilizing analytical technologies, and engaging stakeholders, these systems achieve continuous improvement in learning. In contrast, systems centered around high-stakes testing face challenges such as diminished student motivation and the oversight of socio-economic factors.
This study underscores the necessity of re-evaluating traditional assessment approaches and developing intelligent data analysis systems to foster educational equity and enhance the quality of learning.
