Policymaking for global citizen training in education

Abstract :
    Globalization, as a comprehensive process, has crossed the national borders of countries and, by influencing the sovereignty of governments, has paved the way for major changes at the social, economic and cultural levels. In the meantime, the field of education is one of the fields that has been strongly affected by the globalization process and its requirements, and the necessity of having a dynamic, efficient and, of course, compliant educational system today is felt more than ever. Therefore, we see that different countries of the world have established educational systems in the wake of education in today s world, where science and technology are considered as an important and fundamental factor in the process of economic, social and cultural growth and development of human societies with their extensive and global growth and expansion, educational and training institutions and systems have gained an important role in the development of science, technology and innovation. Educational systems should seek to prepare students for life in a global society and to be prepared to face its challenges by reviewing their policies. This article, using a library method and with the aim of examining the characteristics and components of global citizenship, discusses and examines the role, importance and necessity of global citizenship education in higher education from the perspective of experts. Given the rapid social, technological and political developments of the contemporary era, citizenship education is one of the concerns of planners and policymakers of the educational system of different countries around the world because this education leads to the consolidation of the value system and citizenship skills in order to strengthen democracy and sustainable participation of citizens, and such education creates a kind of self-confidence and socially and morally responsible behaviors from the very beginning of education.
