Abstract :
Deep beams of concrete structures are used in high rise buildings, dams, bridges and etc. Continuous deep beams have different behavior compared to simple deep beam, and the existing opening in the web of continuous deep beams causes them to have complex behavior. Due to the density of bars in the deep beams usage of self compacting concrete is an appropriate option. The investigation of behavior of two spans deeps beams with circular opening in the web was the goal of this research. 6 samples of two span deep beams with circular opening in different positions in internal and external shear spans were made and up to failure under static load in the middle of each span were placed and change in the shear strength and the behavior of beams with the change in the position of opening was investigated. The results gained showed that when the beams have opening at the bottom of internal and external shear spans, have the maximum shear capacity and then the openings are at the center of shear span have the minimum shear capacity.
