Abstract :
Continuous change in today s business environment, where the market is constantly becoming more competitive and the rate of innovation rises, has made the institutions of knowledge a key asset. Drucker (1993) rightly points out that the most valuable capital of the 21st Century institutions is their knowledge and knowledge workers. In this framework, the ability of institutions to exploit their intangible assets is far more determinable than their ability to invest and manage their physical capital. In order for institutions to succeed in exploiting their knowledge capital, there must be a consistent fit between the goals and missions of the organization and its knowledge management strategy. This means that the goals and strategies of knowledge management must reflect the goals and strategies of the organization (Kim et al., 2003, p. 297).
