Abstract :
Nowadays, one of the most important tasks in different industries is to optimize the treatment of harmful substances from various wastewaters like an olive oil waste stream. In order to optimize, different methods including experimental design is used. In this study, historical and central composite design were used to optimize conditions for the removal of COD, color and TPh and additionally results compared with the factorial method. Results showed that in the hysterical method, the optimal point was COD 89%, color 100% and TPh 100%. Also the optimal point in the central composite design was 84% COD, 96% and TPh 100%.
