Abstract :
Flow pattern in a channel bend central angle of 90 ° (wide arc radius ratio (3 = (R / B))), rigid bed with lateral intake at the location 30 degrees of arc, have been studied.During the study In this study, turbulent, three-dimensional and are permanent. The effect of changing angles (15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90) the lateral intake in a location of the arc, the effect of inlet flow in the main channel, the impact of input in the main channel and the side channel on the flow pattern in motion the secondary flow is studied using FLUENT software.Turbulence model (K-e) is used to model the Reynolds stresses.Solving equations using finite volume. To verify the results of the numerical model, the experimental results have been used. The results showed that the secondary flow and flow separation areas within the main channel and lateral intake, as well as forecasts.
