Strategic Analysis of Rasht Metropolis Development with the Approach of Urban Development Strategy

Abstract :
    The urban development strategy is a relatively new strategy that has been devised to strengthen the urban planning and management system and, by focusing on social and economic development, requires a new understanding of the problems and issues to guide the development of the city in its proper context. The emergence and expansion of the CDS approach to urban planning should be sought in a series of necessities that, in the final analysis, return to the conditions of global capitalism, its consequences and consequences. To the contrary, today in contemporary urban societies, the inability of agency and rigidity of socio-political structures and the failure to implement CDS approaches in cities seeking a new identity have created the conditions for a fair competition based on citizenship rights , Managerial accountability, accountability, and lawmaking. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to investigate the development strategy of Rasht city with the approach of urban development strategy. In this research, the method used in terms of purpose, the method of applied research and the method of study according to the method and nature of the descriptive-analytical. The current study approach is strategically. Using this model in the form of a strategic approach (SWOT) in addition to identifying internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as the opportunities and threats of the city of Rasht in terms of the four dimensions of urban development strategy. The sample size of this research is 50 experts in urban issues and urban planning. The results show that according to the internal factors matrix, among the strengths, the high inclination of citizens to participate and their responsibility in the presence of conditions with a score of 0.511 is the highest point, among the weak points of non-use of native and expert skills in urban management with a score of 0.275 highest Also, according to the external factors matrix, among the points of opportunity used by the elites and city scholars to develop and use their suggestions with a score of 0.358, the highest point of opportunity and among the points of threat is the severe destruction of natural resources and inappropriate use of land with a score of 0.562 highest point of threat Rasht city Development is.
