Abstract :
This study was conducted to determine the effects of adding dextrose, powdered fatty acids, nicotinic acid (niacin), choline chloride, biotin, methionine and yeast to the zero diet (control group) and dextrose diet 20 g, 170 g fat, niacin 6 g, choline chloride 4 g, Biotin 7.5 mg, methionine 7.5 g and yeast 5 g (treatment group) were administered twice and multiple times per day to the BCS of Holstein cows (15 cows per group). The experiment was performed from 21 days before calving to 21 days after calving. The collected data were analyzed in a randomized complete block design. The effects of adding dextrose, powdered fats, nicotinic acid (niacin), choline chloride, biotin, methionine and yeast on BCS around calving are presented in Table 1-4. Addition of dextrose, powdered fats, nicotinic acid (niacin), choline chloride, biotin, methionine and yeast significantly increased milk yield (P <0.036). The increase in milk production in the first week after calving was significant (P <0.035), but in the second and third weeks, despite the increase in milk production by 10 and 10.7%, respectively, it had no significant effect on milk production. Also, there was no significant interaction between week and the number of abdominal calves (blocks). But there was a significant difference between the 2 weeks treatment (P <0.05). The effects of dextrose, powdered fats, nicotinic acid (niacin), choline chloride, biotin, methionine and yeast on milk production around calving are presented in Table 2-4.
