Abstract :
PET scan is nuclear medicine imaging to produce color 3D images of functional processes within the human body. A branch of medical imaging that uses a small amount of radioactive material to diagnose a variety of diseases (cancer, heart and neurological diseases). The main advantage of this method is imaging the function and physiology of body tissues. One of the major advantages of this method is the small amount of drug required (in picograms), which makes the relatively low radiation dose less than one RAM. PET cardiac scan uses new detectors to improve performance. These detectors are based on Are positrons, which physiologically contribute to myocardial metabolism and cardiac function in the diagnosis of intracardiac infection and sarcoidosis. In general, it can be said that these images can be created simultaneously with MRI and CT images, which at the same time examine both the anatomy and physiology of the tissue.
