Abstract :
Water and soil are the most important natural resources of any country and play an essential role in economic development and development of societies. Soil erosion and consequent sediment production is a factor that threatens these valuable resources. Soil erosion and sediment production reduce the fertility of farmland, reduce the useful life of dams and reduce their dewatering capacity. Therefore, estimating the amount of sediment load in many water projects such as the design of dams and surface water storage ponds, sediment transfer and pollution in rivers and lakes, as well as the design of canals and their maintenance is very important. Different factors affecting erosion and sedimentation in each region lead to different types of erosion with different quantity and quality, and the results affect the region and change the process of dealing with the environment. Conventional methods of sediment estimation are mostly low accuracy and the results of different methods are very different from each other, so today hydrodynamic models are considered as the most important tool to study the phenomenon of erosion and sedimentation due to the involvement of various factors and complexity of this phenomenon. Are. Existence of accurate systems, tools, methods and models provide researchers with the ability to store, retrieve and update basic information. The aim of this study was to investigate and estimate the rate of river erosion and sedimentation separately by bottom (bed) and suspended load using computational method, sediment measurement curve, tree model M5, MPSIAC and EPM.
