Feasibility study of energy production from small Archimedes turbines on the coast of Bandar Abbas

Abstract :
    In this study, while examining the conditions in the coastal region of Bandar Abbas, by field measurement and numerical simulation, the feasibility of using the Archimedes torsional turbine to generate energy in this region has been studied. The results showed that the coast of Bandar Abbas due to gentle depth changes and suitable slope can be a good place to install a torsion turbine with angles below 15 degrees or horizontally and achieved good efficiency.
