Abstract :
    Abstract In general, the culture of self-sacrifice and martyrdom is one of the characteristics of the divine religions, especially Islam. Welcome testimony; It means passing from the soul to the peak of self-sacrifice and devotion is expected only from pious human beings and the unseen world. Today, the enemy calls the martyrdom movement of Muslims terrorism in order to deceive the public and massacre them. Therefore, the main focus of this research is the study of martyrdom and martyrdom in the passage of history, which using the library method, the existing explanations in the Qur an and valuable sources in the field of hadith and narrations of the Imams (AS) have been used. The findings show that theism and resurrection give meaning to martyrdom. Introducing the message and culture of martyrdom and striving to promote the spirit of self-sacrifice and resistance also leads to self-cultivation, spiritual purity of heart and elimination of darkness and gloom of the soul.
