Abstract :
Replacing poor quality soil with high quality materials as a traditional method to achieve the desired engineering characteristics will bring many problems both in the economic field and in the environmental field. In this situation, the use of soil improvement methods can be a suitable and cost-effective way of working. Glass fiber is one of the few suitable technical methods for soil improvement. Natural and biological reinforcements as well as man-made (artificial) reinforcements have been introduced in the studies of soil improvement, reinforcement and stabilization methods, and based on the research reports, it seems that natural fibers and materials have a shorter lifespan and are subject to analysis. , but in contrast to man-made synthetic fiber materials, they are more durable and effective, and synthetic fibers and materials are more expensive from an economic point of view. The important point is the environmental issue and reducing the harmful effects of chemicals and causing any pollution.
