Abstract :
The cultural identities of each region are derived from the customs and traditions that the people of that region have artistically used to create a more beautiful life. The creation of architecture and music also originate from the culture of that region. Musicians have reached pleasing proportions over thousands of years, and by using these parameters, identity features can be included in the design without falling into the trap of form repetitions and imitations. In this research, the common aspects of architecture and music are expressed in terms of concepts, creative space, shape and morphology. On the other hand, it can be seen that these two cultural categories are similar in their governing and constituting fundamental rules, such as proportions, rhythm, harmony, repetition, aesthetics, etc. At a time when architecture is moving day by day towards content lessness and formal use of elements, musical sounds can be a very suitable parameter for use in architectural design, especially conceptual designs, due to their impact on the human soul. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate the possibility of reading the characteristics of Iranian traditional music into architectural design forms.
