Abstract :
Dyslexia, one of the subtypes of learning disorders, is a psychological condition that affects the ability to read text accurately. The current study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive motor tasks in improving dyslexic symptoms among fourth-grade students with dyslexia in Tehran. The current research design was a semi-experimental study that included pre-test, post-test, and control group components. The study s statistical population consisted of fourth-grade students from schools in East Tehran. From this population, 24 students with dyslexia were selected using available sampling and randomly assigned to either the control or experimental group. After randomly assigning subjects to the control and experimental groups and evaluating them using a checklist of dyslexia symptoms, the participants in the experimental group completed cognitive-motor tasks during eight 45-minute sessions. The control group did not receive any intervention. After completing the intervention, a re-evaluation was conducted. The results of this research indicate that cognitive tasks involving movement can significantly alleviate dyslexic symptoms in sixth-grade students with dyslexia. Based on the findings of the present study, it can be concluded that engaging in cognitive motor tasks can alleviate the symptoms of dyslexia. These tasks can serve as an effective intervention to improve the symptoms of dyslexia.
