Abstract :
This research has been done in order to prepare the view of families and especially parents in the normal encounter with the type of games, entertainment and fun of children in the current age, which is called the information age and digital age. Recognition and acceptance of the common types of games, entertainment, and fun among children and the lack of opposition and resistance to their new type by families, especially parents, is an important matter that is not paid attention to by some families. This is not possible except by learning and having at least some information about the games and how to play with them to control and guide the child properly. The present study used a qualitative research method using in-depth interviews with a phenomenological perspective. In-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 boys and their families and 10 girls and their families who agreed to be interviewed. (Most of the families were from the middle and middle to upper economic classes of the society and their children had the necessary facilities to perform these activities). Some children had comprehensive information about new games and entertainment, and at the same time, some parents said they were unaware of the same issue or had very little information, these two cases were among the findings of the present research. The necessity of education and understanding of planning and scheduling and correct use of time, along with the amount and correct way of engaging in games and entertainment for children, and also the necessity of accepting and correctly facing the topic of new games and entertainment for parents, and learning (however brief) information about games and entertainment by them are among the results of the present research.
