Abstract :
This study compares the mechanical properties of soil stabilized with environmentally friendly materials such as geopolymer, corn cob, polyethylene waste, coal waste, and magnesium-based stabilizers with soil stabilized with conventional stabilizers such as cement and lime. In this study, the effect of the percentage of stabilizing materials, cement and lime and the strength of different samples has been investigated. Also, coal and polyethylene wastes, which cause environmental pollution, have been used to improve soil parameters. In order to perform the test, different samples with different stabilizers and also with different mixing percentages have been prepared. The results indicate that in some percentage of mixtures, the compressive and tensile strength of the samples is acceptable and also shows better results than the soil samples stabilized with cement and lime. Based on the observations from this experiment, the main parameter affecting the samples is the percentage of stabilizers. The results show that geopolymer cement can be considered as the best soil stabilizer compared to other materials as a suitable alternative to Portland cement and lime for soil stabilization, that the processing time and the type of activator of this type of stabilizer have a significant effect on It has the resistance of samples.
