Abstract :
Although the term serial murders became common since 1974 But this example of deliberate murder has a long history and many murderers have committed serial murders in the world. Psychologists and criminal lawyers and criminologists have identified and discussed various motives in committing crimes in serial killers. The most important of which are revenge, sexual motives, theft, addiction and other cases. Serial killers have a prior plan to commit crimes and accidental murders are not observed among this group of criminals. The methods of committing crimes in serial murders of each killer have many similarities. There have been mental and psychological disorders among this group of criminals, but this does not mean that the will to commit the crime has been denied and it does not cause the criminal responsibility of the murderer to disappear. In addition, in criminal jurisprudence, in case of parents request, self-retribution is foreseen, which is also legislated in the Islamic Penal Code of our country. In addition, due to the general aspect of the crime, imprisonment is also provided for the murderer.
