Abstract :
In this study, the effect of gross domestic product growth, domestic credit to private sector, urban population and stocks traded on the growth of CO2 emissions was analyzed and a panel model with 15 countries (with the presence of Iran) for annual data variables in the period 1993-2011 (Gregorian) by fully modified ordinary least squares and dynamic ordinary least squares methods was estimated. Before estimating the model, variables stability and group cointegration them were tested. The results indicated that the explanatory variables studied in long run have positive and significant effect on the dependent variable. More precisely, according to the fully modified ordinary least squares test %1 increase in gross domestic product growth, stocks traded growth and urban population growth lead almost in order of %0.42, %0.03 and %1.05 to the growth CO2 emissions and according to the dynamic ordinary least squares test %1 increase in gross domestic product growth, stocks traded growth and domestic credit to the private sector lead almost in order of %0.5, %0.03 and %0.1 to the growth CO2 emissions. Analysis suggest that the theoretical relationship between the explanatory variables and the dependent variable in the main hypothesis of the study are approved.
