The relationship between land-use initiatives to reduce crime and insecurity in the city(Case Study: Bryanak neighborhood in 10th area of Tehran)

Abstract :
    Crime and insecurity in urban neighborhoods specially in larger cities is one of the main concerns of citizens. Security is one of the first needs of humans in life. The security that lies in urban spaces. The most important factors of anomalies are location characteristics and enviroment facilities of crime. Recently the criminal justice system failed to cope with the increasing trend of crimes in different countries so overreaction approaches such as crime prevention in developed countriesis taken in to consideration. The shape and type of applications and the relationship between its components has a significant impact on the incidence of crime. This article examines the relationship between characteristics of land use in order to prevent crime and reduce feelings of insecurity of citizens in the city s neighborhood s and we have examined Bryanak neigborhood in this case. The research method is descriptive and required data have been collected by a library.The results showed that there is a relation between crime prevention and the use of urban land, among urban areas studied those which have the composition and diversity of application around them compared with similar areas that have less diversity of users; there is less potential to be known as crime scene and also the citizens feel more secure there. Another consequence of using the right strategies in urban areas is improvment of citizens safty and crime prevention in urban neighborhoods.
