Abstract :
This paper has been studied economic evaluation of the use of retaining walls in the lower stories of steel structures. Correct camputation of the basic balance building can have a huge impact on calculated earthquake rates that it would be reduced the fraction dimension used in the structure and thereby it reduces consumption in the skeleton of steel. On the other hand we will have the implementation of additional cost of the retaining wall. In order to achieve this goal، the cost of steel buildings with number of floors 4، 8، 12 and regular shot in two cases by considering of being retaining wall and lack of it is estimated. The results of the design of the steel structures show that in models 4 and 8; floor despite of retaining wall is completely economic while model 12 is not like this in other words being retaining wall in the tall structures are economically expensive.
