Abstract :
    Rural tourism is considered as one of the strategies for social and economic development ofrural comunities . With due attention to the limited agricultural and living resources of rural areas and the growing of rural population , rural tourism potentialities can be used to promote eployment , enhance income ad improve villagers general welfare . Rural natural and cultural attractions can be called for tourists attention . Masal is one of the mostly rural areas of Guilan that its popular traditional activities ( including agriulture and animal husbandry )cannot satisfy its population s economic nds (i.e employment and income resources ) . While attention and streng thening of tourism potential basis of the area can play an effective role in economic and social development . The purpose of this research is to study the eco-tourism potentialitie and its role in economical and social development of the area.
