Abstract :
Considering the vital importance of water resources in the present age, In order to find sustainable economic growth, the existence of effective methods for the purification of contaminated waters is inevitable.Waste water including heavy metal ions and organic compounds as the serious environmental problems in human society.Among the many technical mechanisms which are used to clean up the pollutants from the environment,The adsorption as the widely used method plays an important role in waste water treatment. In this paper, the effect of natural and bio-compatible adsorbents and nanoparticles on the purification of environmental pollutants has been investigated as well as future challenges, for the application of nanotechnology in the oil and gas industry is discussed.
