Assessment of safety measures (warning-signs road) at blackspots, case study in ILAM province

Abstract :
So on, extra effort of transportation experts is needed to increasing transportation according by occurrence road’s crashes in the world. For this purpose, identification blackspot by global experience and data of road accidents is one of the duties traffic engineers for Prioritize the implementation of required measures. In this study, the first steps of the ILAM (the west province of IRAN) province were identified and evaluated. Based on, data roads crashes number of P (According to the instructions of organization transportation of IRAN) was calculated for ILAM’s road network to identification blackspots. The next step, measures (installing road signs) have been taken by the ILAM’s department of transportation are determined in these points. Then, by simple statistical method, before and after study, the effects of these measures were compared. Results show, 30 to 35 percent of the accidents’ number decrease at blackspots by installing warning-sing road.
