Abstract :
Abstract Today, the seismic resistance of existing structures and structures has become one of the most fundamental issues in the field of earthquake engineering. One of the methods of reinforcing concrete beams and providing the plasticity and seismic resistance of concrete structures is the use of reinforced steel and concrete jackets. The use of steel jackets that are bonded with special tensile resins of concrete beams is one of the common and accepted methods for reinforcing the bending of reinforced concrete beams. One of the reasons for using this method is to view the failure modes as bending and cutting and separating sheets. On the other hand, the use of concrete jackets increases the cross-sectional dimension to increase the flexural strength and concrete beam shear. In this paper, we study the methods of maintaining and retrofitting of reinforced concrete structures with steel and concrete jackets, taking into account their effect on structural mass.
