Abstract :
The idea of orbital power plants is based on the integration and development of several non-existing, developing or existing technologies for massive and reliable production of economic energy and its efficient distribution for industrial, agricultural as well as human consumption in population centers not only to change the face of life on the earth, but also and more importantly, initiation of the potentials for making other planets habitable. Briefly explained, the idea includes conceptual design and following steps: 1- Enabling power transmission from power plant via non material medium (wireless transmission) 2- Developing the technology of compact power plants (in terms of geometric dimensions) based on production of nuclear energy by fusion. 3- Locating power plants, the subjects of Idea, into orbit of the planet (e.g. Earth)
