Abstract :
In recent decades, quality of life and livability are known as important phenomena. Although high quality of life and livability are demanded in cities, rapid and unplanned urbanization makes a lot of problems such as poverty, slum, social instability, insecurity, enviromental challenges and climate change, unemployment, economic problems and etc. These problems threaten not only quality of life, but also human s being. So, it is vital to struggle with urbanization challenges and create new sustainable urban setting with high quality of life. Sustainable development is one the key to deal with these problems. Generally, sustainable infrastructure creates sustainable cities and sustainable cities and countries achieve sustainable development in the world. Sustainable development could maintain resources, energy and the world for future generation. In addition, it could improve quality of urban life through creating sustainable cities and supplying human s needs. Although, sustainable cities provide opportunities to improve quality of life, it is considered that urban planning and good governance with effective regulatory frameworks are required. Cities need to be planned, designed, and developed to lessen their impact on the environment, be resilient to the effects of climate change, and contribute to economic growth. So, project management besides sustainability is needed to campaign against problems. Therefore, sustainability and management are required to struggle with problems in order to improving quality of livability. In this research, innovative models based on sustainable project management are proposed as keys to create new urban setting with high quality of life and livability. Innovation could help strategies concerned on sustainability and project management through creating new ideas or improving old processes. Innovation could create models with high efficiency and profitably. Fundamentally, new sustainable urban settings with high quality of life, are gained by sustainability, project management and innovation.
