Abstract :
Structural safety has always been key to designing civil engineering projects for engineers. One of the mechanisms in which the structure is defeated and has attracted considerable attention over decades is related to progressive destruction in which one or more structural members suddenly fail due to an accident or terrorist attack, etc. The building is progressively degraded. Progressive destruction is a relatively rare event in which unconventional loads cause local damage and the structure spreads due to lack of continuity, ductility and indeterminacy of damage. Simply put, progressive failure in structures can be defined as a chain reaction in which, under a particular cause, local injury occurs in a relatively small area of the structure, and in the case of local injury to other parts It extends from the structure and ultimately results in a general failure of the structure. In the paper, we analyze strain-strain and investigate the effect of progressive degradation on high-rise concrete structures with the help of finite element.
