Abstract :
Decision Support Systems are considered as assistive tools that are applied in varied circumstances such as forecasting situations, managing problems, analysing data or information, support since it improves decision making within business environments. This study aims at comparing Type-1 Fuzzy and Interval Type-2 Fuzzy in Decision Support System. The case studied in this paper deals with managers style of decision making for development of their organizations or companies. Decision Support Systems are to offer a decision in providing assessment criteria for the managers. Findings show that both of the studied systems applied similar membership functions and rules. It is approved that Type-2 Fuzzy can handle uncertainty level in decision making processes. In general, both systems showed the same function. The result indicated that Type-2 Fuzzy in the process of decision making which is involved in uncertainty proves to be a more time consuming way but it cannot stop its applicability.
