Economic considerations also have a crucial role in the policies and programs of a country. Considering the importance of the two stated factors in the waste management system landfill mining method is suitable for sustainable global development, in which landfills from past decades are mined by proper machinery and detected wastes are used for various purposes. In this article different goals of landfill mining in three continents of Asia, Europe, and North America have been analyzed, including environmental conservation, amusement park construction, use as fertile land, as well as the use of mined materials for production of building material, energy generation, fertilizer, electricity generation and so on.
