Abstract :
Evaluation and safety of water storage tanks as vital arteries of the country is very important. Therefore, it is important to study the behavior of these reservoirs against factors such as earthquakes and their proper performance at this time. Damage to the reservoirs During past experiences, the reservoirs were not adequately resistant to earthquake loads. On the other hand, in many earthquake-prone cities, there are a large number of water storage tanks, which emphasizes the need to investigate the destructive and retrofitting behavior of these structures. Proper functioning of the tanks during earthquake is very important because they have problems with the destruction of these tanks, supply of drinking water, relief activities and possible fire extinguishing. Problems such as the calculation and determination of fluid oscillation pressures during earthquake vibrations, the consideration of water and reservoir interactions, the lack of precise design regulations have led researchers and engineers to conduct extensive research in recent decades. To investigate the behavior of the tanks and the reinforcement of the mentioned structures, this has led to the development of bylaws and guidelines in this regard. In this research, in order to analyze and analyze earthquake load, earthquake mapping acceleration is applied to concrete tank structure, all dynamic loads on the structure and its actual boundary conditions and then a regular network of elements for meshing and structural analysis. The basis of the finite element method will be established. After simulating the output contours such as stresses, strains, displacements and kinetic and internal energy of the structure, it is evaluated and analyzed.
