Abstract :
Nowadays, with regarding to urban spaces spread and increasing the rate of building construction in residential areas, it is necessary to carry out excavations with retaining walls in many civil projects. One of the important issues in designing and constructing a system of supporting excavation structures is to predict their performance before the beginning of construction. In the most past studies, the retaining wall behavior and performance analysis was done according two-dimensional analysis in a deep excavation, while this problem is a three-dimensional completely and its analysis in a two-dimensional manner does not conform to the real conditions of project. Therefore, in this study, the values of the horizontal displacement of the retaining wall in a deep excavation at various altitudes were investigated and compared with the ABAQUS software exactly. In this paper, the values obtained by using ABAQUS software for specifying the displacement of the retaining wall and the extracted results from 3D modelling have a better fit and proper alignment with the values obtained from monitoring of retaining wall in a deep excavation.
