Abstract :
This paper presents a nonlinear finite element analysis in order to optimize the seismic of strap-braced Light-weight steel framing. Light-weight steel framing structures During earthquakes receive the amount of small lateral force due to their lightweight. In order to investigate the seismic behavior of these buildings, Initially a Strap-braced cold-formed steel framing to the dimensions of 2.4×2.4 m is Analyzed using the finite element ANSYS software and the results are compared with the experimental model. Then consider the three other models than Strap-brace, we obtain the most optimal braced mode. According to the results, the strap-brace with brackets in four interior corners of the frame showed better performance than other braced frames
