Abstract :
Capacitive micro machined ultrasound transducer (CMUT) due to their advantages emerged as an alternative technology to conventional transducers for ultrasonic imaging in the medical application. In this paper, in order a distributed model of a circular plate under the electrostatic field of an electrostatic actuator is used to investigate the static deflection and dynamic behavior and calculate the pull-in voltage of the CMUT. The Eigen frequency of the micro plate by using COMSOL software and MATLAB script is extracted. At the end, the frequency response of two modes of transducer (transmitter & receiver) are plotted which are shown that by changing the bias DC voltage we can tune the frequency of the CMUT for medical application.
