Abstract :
In this study, after briefly explaining the concepts of contextual architecture and climatic areas of Iran, following the climatic design and examining the major goals of climatic design and how climate impacts on architecture. Design in contextual architecture is very important and design requires study and context. The present paper seeks to investigate two cold and mountainous and mild and humid climates (case study of Sanandaj and Rasht) with regard to contextual patterns and finally to understand the climatic design in these two climates. To do this research, using library sources, descriptive-analytical methods have studied the contextual architecture and existing contexts for design. Contextual architecture should first of all be carefully evaluated and evaluated in order to create a consistent architecture within the design domain.
