Abstract :
Water is one of the most important aspects of life, because all living things need water to sustain their lives. Due to the growing demand for water and the depletion of the ground water level, the need to reach ideal aquifers is more than ever felt. One method that can be used to identifying these aquifer layers is the geoelectrical resistivity method. This method utilizes electric current to measure rock resistivity beneath the earth s surface. There are various configurations of these geoelectrical methods. The present study was prepared in the framework of geoelectric studies for supplying drinking water from the sources of northern heights of Bojnourd city. In December 2018, the field operation was carried out with using eighteen geoelectrics Sounding during the period of the study. The results of geoelectrical soundings have been combined with geological and hydrogeology information. Results showed that the geoelectrical method can well identify the location of water wells.
